‘The Orchard’ amongst the natives


After creating a successful back garden with swimming pool out from the house, we now had the opportunity to do something with the blank canvas of the front.


We added a large deck to the front of the house, creating another room, and then with large sweeping sandstone stairs we divided the garden into areas.

With two lawn rectangles we surrounded these with different plantings. From the silver garden at the side of the driveway, up to the Silver birches and lawn, across the beautiful sandstone path to the top ‘Orchard’ surrounded by beautiful natives. The orchard was reduced in size with the need to keep away from the roots of the beautiful eucalypt that towers over this new garden.

With a floating carport to the side of the deck, and with a new sculptural fence and letterbox, our garden is finished.
